ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF MINING ENGINEERS (NSME), DR EBENEZER ALIU DAMISA, FNSME ON THE OCCASION OF A COURTESY CALL ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THE AFRICAN INDEPENDENT TELEVISION (AIT) STATION KADUNA, TUESDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2017.

It gives us great pleasure and honour to pay this courtesy call on the African Independent Television Station (AIT) Kaduna today. We bring to the station the felicitation of the entire membership of the Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers (NSME) and we would like to express our immense gratitude to the Management for accepting our request to visit today.

As indicated in our letter, the Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers (NSME) is a professional body specialising in Mining Engineering which is the engineering discipline responsible for the extraction and processing of solid minerals. The President of our Society and quite a few of the Council members are based in Kaduna. In view of the importance the solid mineral sector can play in the national economy and the activities that the Society is planning in the year, we deem it fit to seek audience with you so that our Society and your Station, can partner to promote the Sector that is so important to our dear Country.
